Hummer might be scraping the bottom of the barrel for buyers these days, but you can't blame there web marketers when it comes to showing off product.
JD Power released what they call Wave 1 of the 2008 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study.
They evaluated sites based on new vehicle shoppers, appearance, speed, navigation and information and content.
Hummer scored an 867 out of 1K, during the last wave in July 2007, Hummer scored 869.
Wave 1 was based on evaluations of 11,466 new-vehicle shoppers during October and November of 2007.
Consumers who were in the study indicated they would be looking for a new vehicle within next 24-months.
Topping the list of most useful sites for the 2nd straight year was Hummer.com; Lincoln came in 2nd, followed by Kia at #3.
The question is, why didn't web excellence drive consumers to actually buy Hummers?
