Ford Teams Up With Sony

FoMoCo announced today that it plans on developing a partnership with Sony Electronics in an effort to boost its own products' appeal with that of Sony audio systems.
Ford Global Product Development Vice President Derrick Kuzak (I think that must make Mr. Kuzak one VP of 428 or so) was decidedly upbeat for the press release.
"Sony-branded audio and a host of other signature technologies will help differentiate Ford products in the marketplace."
Couldn't have put it better myself. That said, with last year's staggering losses and a continued bleak outlook for the North American car market, Ford stands to benefit from a brighter connection that will signal the veritable Renaissance the carmaker must undergo to shake non-plussed Honda buyers and over-confident Toyota drivers from their respective helms.
The first North American model Ford fitted with Sony's special-to-FoMoCo audio system is set to premiere at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
