The upcoming Detroit Auto Show is set to be truly exciting; what with trend-forging new concepts from Chrysler, Lincoln, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, and Mercedes-Benz that are all likely to see production.

Ford will only add to that excitement with its own conceptual tour de force. Today, the Blue Oval released pictures on the Internet of the interceptor Concept – a low profile, three-box-sedan that sets its target to compete directly with the likes of Chrysler's popular 300C SRT 8.

Much more engaging a design than the last go-no-where Interceptor concept that premiered in 2002 (a Crown Vic with flashy trim), this latest iteration of American automotive soul takes "sleek" to a whole new level by minimizing the usage of trim lines to the extreme.
