CAR magazine has reported on what is likely to be the first significant effort on the part of an old school sportscar manufacturer to become eco-friendly or "Green". The concept known as the Mille Chilli - a Ferrari that looks very similar to the Enzo and FXX, but is significantly shorter (nearly 3 ft) and lighter (661 lbs less) features F1-style energy-regenerative braking and a hybrid powertrain.
Some may scoff that this is merely a publicity stunt to appease those hell-bent Brussels bureaucrats from imposing emissions controls on exotic entities like Ferrari - and they'd be right. The carmaker has no immediate plans to produce the Mille Chilli. But it is a step forward to an eco-friendly Ferrari of tomorrow. And what could be wrong with that?
