Ferrari Dabbles With Hybrid Concept

CAR magazine has reported on what is likely to be the first significant effort on the part of an old school sportscar manufacturer to become eco-friendly or "Green". The concept known as the Mille Chilli – a Ferrari that looks very similar to the Enzo and FXX, but is significantly shorter (nearly 3 ft) and lighter (661 lbs less) features F1-style energy-regenerative braking and a hybrid powertrain.
Some may scoff that this is merely a publicity stunt to appease those hell-bent Brussels bureaucrats from imposing emissions controls on exotic entities like Ferrari – and they'd be right. The carmaker has no immediate plans to produce the Mille Chilli. But it is a step forward to an eco-friendly Ferrari of tomorrow. And what could be wrong with that?
