Fast Cars For Cops in Bramalea
That's Brampton mayor Susan Fennell with Peel Regional Police Chief Mike Metcalf, celebrating the city's purchase of 2006 Charger police specials. An appropriate choice as Chrysler has a massive plant that builds 300 C's, Chargers, and Magnums for North America in Bramalea, which is part of Brampton, just northwest of Toronto. Long before Chrysler entered the picture, an American Motors plant manufactured Ramblers and other AMC products in a nearby factory. Once, while reviewing a Rambler American for Canada Track & Traffic magazine, I did a maximum performance brake test on a nearby road. The engine came off its mounts and chewed into the radiator! The PR people weren't smiling when I called them to pick up their car. In an earlier career I was morning radio DJ at the Brampton radio station until the program director fired me for organising a parade of sports cars to promote an upcoming race; the PD was jealous of the attention this would give a lowly staff announcer. Once a quiet town of lovely old homes, Brampton today is an urban sprawl dominated by housing developments and shopping centers. Fast-moving police cars essential.

Brampton is the town and bramalea is a suburb. I run an auto parts company there and have been very familiar with the area since the 60s. The chrysler plant is just off airport road which is in the old Bramalea but it is all part of Brampton. Just to clarify.
I just saw a Charger police car in Glendale California. Looks so nice in person.
Those cars are cool. I recently read an article where there was a dodge charger that looked similar to the car in the transformer movie.
