One person in every household should be able to get to work without the use of a car.
Homes should be within a 10 minute walk to buses, trains, shops, and services.
Each home needs to meet criteria regarding waste, recycling, water efficiency, and pollution.
Great ideas and England is pushing for new Eco-Towns. The bid process starts in 2009 with plenty of uncertainty. Take a read at Car free commute eco-town plan
