Edge Edging Up

Ford sales are down but the Edge keeps edging up, so the automaker's empty suits started licking their chops to find more meat on America's top selling mid sized crossover.



The Chicago Auto Show is the venue for Ford's reveal of its new Edge Sport, the newest member of the automakers crossover's stable.

To capitalize on the cars popularity, Ford has created a custom package to keep the sportier set content.

The Edge Sport rides on standard 20 or optional 22-inch wheels and low profile tires. The Sport model also features an eight-piece Edge Sport body kit, which includes a unique front air dam, side skirts, lower door caps and a rear skirt.

Highlights from the interior include contrasting, light gray stitching on the seats, steering wheel shift knob. There is apparently also an etched metal effect on the instrument panel center console.
