Many States are starting to play hardball when it comes to exposing drivers who have chronic DUI records.
Maryland is the latest State to contemplate the use of special "vanity" plates to identify drivers with DUI records.
The plate above is the Ohio version of a "driving under the influence' license.
Here's a video report outlining the debate in Maryland over the effectiveness of such branding.

When I lived in Ohio about four years ago, my next-door neighbor had one of these plates. They're actually a bit fluorescent green under the right light. She also had a court-mandated Breathalyzer-type ignition lock on the car. One would think that if she had that much of a problem with driving under the influence, they'd just yank her license permanently.

Point wee taken! The plate doesn't alleviate the core problem.
