Donald Duck Pitches For Hudson
June 5, 2007 · Posted in Uncategorized
In this 1960s TV commercial for American Motors, we see an early example of corporation hiring celebrities to sell their products. In this particular ad, Hudson contracted none other than Disney's own Donald Duck – who vainly attempts to instruct Huey, Dewey, and Louie about the benefits of the Hudson suspension.
A smoother ad man comes on later to say that Hudson's deep-coil springs leave "little or no uncomfortable swing or sway" to the ride. Man, with springs that good who needs crap like Mercedes-Benz's active-body control system? Where do I sign?
