Sprinter PHEV

Sprint, don't run, to your nearest Dodge dealer in California, Kansas City and New York to be one of the few lucky customers to drive a plug-in hybrid. As part of a test fleet program DaimlerChrysler is placing the Dodge Sprinter PHEV with a variety of customers around the world. The company claims to be the only auto manufacturer to investigate the feasibility of plug-in hybrid technology in real-world tests. It can drive up to 20 miles on electric-only power. In hybrid mode the Sprinter moves with the assistance of 5-cylinder diesel or V-6 gasoline engine; a switch on the dashboard gives the operator the ability to manually change between modes as needed or automatically using the vehicle control system. Plug-in technology lends itself to commercial applications in which the vehicle returns to base after each shift.

My family and I want to be part of the prototype testing for the Hybrid van. We have looked into the Toyota Prius but need more room for our growing family. My family is also very into the outdoors and surfing so we need a place to retreat to as well as a vehicle that can carry all of our boards and kid stuff.
