Apparently, Jeremy Clarkson likes poached eggs on toast. I write this knowing full well that few should care about Mr. Clarkson's gastronomic likes and dislikes, but he likened the new Ford Mondeo to "poached eggs on toast" and meant it in a positive way.
Too strange.
Sift ten paragraphs into Mr. Clarkson's Times column and you'll get to the point - the car, that is. He claims that it wasn't the technological leap forward that the ford focus was - the econo-car was in Mr. Clarkson's own words, "designed in a bath of cash."
