Chrysler To Manufacture Imperial

In the wake of the nasty divorce with Daimler-Benz AG, Chrysler is set to fire off its outsized and outstanding 2006 Imperial Concept as the marque's future flagship. The bad news is, consumers will have to wait until 2010 for the suicide-doored mammoth.

Said to evoke the 1930s in modern design (wasn't the 30's associated with the Great Depression?), Chrysler executives believe that the Imperial's design will be the dawn of "the truly American, American car company."

This is in spite of plans to manufacture the sedan at Chrysler's Canadian facility that currently produces the gangsta-licious 300C.

But don't just take my word for it.
