Chevrolet Appeasement

I have no objection to environmentalists, but it appears that they have car company executives quaking in their politically incorrect leather shoes.

GM, in its attempt to look like good corporate citizens has invested in a Chevrolet HHR that runs on E85 Flex Fuel.

The HHR will use two Ecotec engines, a 2.2L and a 2.4L, both of which can be run on E85.

In my mind this is all kind of ridiculous. It's great that car companies are producing E85 capable vehicles, but there is no infrastructure in place to provide the number of pumps that would be needed to fuel up. Also, the corporate infrastructure is not currently in place to produce mass amounts of ethanol.

I'm more for developing efficient gasoline and diesel engines.

Besides, where are poor cows going to get their corn, and where are bar going drinkers going to get their alcohol?
