As gasoline nears $4.00 a gallon here in San Diego, you can bet people are finding new ways of improving their gas mileage. Even the rich kids who drive the big-ass SUVs and Pickups are feeling the pinch.

Aside from taking your right foot out of the fuel injector, one of the most important factors in getting better gas mileage is to maintain correct air pressure in your tires. Check it at least once a month. You can find the correct pressure printed on the side-wall of the tire, and often on the placard inside the driver's door. Proper tire pressure will not only save you money in gas, it will make your car handle better, and your chances of having a blow-out are less.
