I took my car ('98 Saab 900s) 
into the shop today to be inspected, always a potential nightmare of bills and followup work. My regular Mechanic, Roland, doesn't do inspections so I had to take the car to someone I didn't know. And I picked them because they were close to my apartment and I could just walk home (and write this). I found Roland thanks to Car Talk's Mechan-X Files and I've been very happy with his work. I just checked Car Talk's web site to make sure the mechanic referral tool was still working and I started reading what they recommend keeping in your trunk. Man, it's a lot of stuff. Do you have anything of the items they recommend in your trunk? I don't have any! Images from Car Talk.
