General Motors is set to introduce more cross-overs in the Cadillac and Saab lineups. And in a move that is sure to appeal to neither set of customers, GM accounting is set to make sure they share even more parts and platforms.

A case-in-point is the upcoming Cadillac BRX and Saab 9-4X. They'll be the same vehicle, just with the requisite Cadillac and Saab badges.

"The Cadillac version pictured will offer both two- and four-wheel drive, and is likely to be powered by four- and six-cylinder engines. It will seat five (no clever third rows here) and be offered with lots of Caddy bling options; 20-inch wheels are a formality, we hear. Expect the BRX to replace the bigger SRX. How will the Saab differ? It's likely to offer four-wheel drive only, helping to justify the loftier market position and higher prices planned for the 9-4X,"
CAR reported.

Seems like this vehicle's production will be biased towards Cadillac -sure to unsettle Saab fans everywhere.
