More from the LA Auto Show:
Bugatti brought out the 1001 hp Veyron 16.4 for the looky-loos. So heavily designed that it doesn't look like a production vehicle at all, the Veyron is powered by an 8 liter W-16 with 4 valves per cylinder (64 total) and 4, count 'em, 4 turbo chargers. In a room full of exotic supercars (Lamborghini, Saleen, Spyker, etc.), the Veyron stands out. It is audacious. Price is $1.2 million, if you can get one. Only 300 Veyrons will be built for 2006. You can do the math -- that's $360 million dollars in potential sales. Hardly seems like enough money to make it all worthwhile.
