BMW Sales Up ! MINI Sales Down ¡

By Gunnar Heinrich
The BMW Group posted terrific gains this past October. The only trouble is that all the growth is coming from the Roundel division.
BMW's North American sales rose 12.6% to a tremendous 23,451 units compared to the company's piddling 20,822 unit figure last October.
By somber contrast, MINI's sales dropped by 7.5% to 3,370 hatchbacks; down from 3,642 cars the British subsidiary sold to Americans last October. Overall, MINI's year-to-date sales figures are still up compared to 2006 – so there's hope.
Curiously, BMW Group does not post Rolls-Royce sales figures as part of the Group's overall sales figures. If they did, it might add an even more positive light to the Group's continued success story.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has been having a bully year.
