BMW Draws on its Past to Create a Work of Art

The retro fad is not over, it seems, and if this new BMW Mille Miglia Concept Coupe is an example, I hope it never ends. It is clearly the most beautiful attempt yet at bringing back a taste of the past wrapped in modern clothing. The concept is built around M Z4 Coupe mechanicals, notes theCarConnection in a photo feature, and is based on BMW's 1940 M328 Touring Coupe. Competing in the 1940 Mille Miglia, the M328 finished fifteen minutes ahead of the second-place car and was the last of the great pre-war 328s. The new Mille Miglia Coupe is strictly a concept created for the auto show circuit, but rest assured there'll be a great clamour for BMW to produce this beauty.
