A Car For Taylor But He’ll Have to Wait
Having chosen a car for "American Idol" finalist Katherine McPhee (see previous blog), we've set our sights on finding suitable wheels for co-finalist Taylor Hicks. Now, this guy's from the south, which right away conjures up images of good old boys and NASCAR. So he'll want Detroit Iron, for sure, but with his mature-looking grey hair, Taylor needs to drive a car with a touch of elegance. On the other hand, his on-stage exuberance suggests performance and handling are important qualities, along with a knock-out "Bose" sound system on which to play his latest hits. I'm worried, though, about Taylor Hick's taste after seeing that hideous sports coat on Tuesday night's show, so I'm going to recommend a car he can't buy yet. That will give him time to mature a little more, time to refine his sartorial tastes. Thus Taylor gets a new "Dodge Challenger" when it finally comes off the production line. That's if he becomes the star he hopes to be, otherwise its back to singing at weddings.
