2007 Elantra

Hyundai has launched the long-awaited 2007 Elantra at the New York Auto Show and it is very spacious, indeed; Autoblog tells us the new compact gets an EPA midsize classification because of its interior volume. Features include standard power windows, tilt steering wheel, cabin air filter, six airbags, ABS brakes and front-seat active head restraints; options offer heated seats, telescoping steering wheel, and XM satellite radio. The 138 HP 2.0 liter inline-four comes with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto. Hyundai says the Elantra echos the company's recent design philosophy of "restrained expression." Restrained for sure, though I do like that semi-fastback roofline.
